The ACP Resource and Technology Conference centers on enhancing clean energy project performance, optimizing energy resources, tracking data, and improving the accuracy of energy assessments. It focuses on modeling and practical innovations aimed at boosting project returns for all stakeholders. This year, the conference will also address the technological impacts on modeling practices for solar, wind, and storage projects.
Gerard Cavero (Vortex R&D Data Scientist) will present in the Resource Assessment session, where we will showcase the methodology “Extrapolating Turbulence Measurements to the Long Term.” Wind energy projects demand precise and dependable wind resource data for effective planning and operation. However, due to constraints in time and spatial coverage, there arises the need to extrapolate available data to long-term scenarios. Our presentation introduces a methodology for turbulence calibration in long-term, high-resolution synthetic time series.
