WindSEA Bangkok 2026 brought together more than 60 wind energy professionals from across Southeast Asia on 7 July 2026 for a technical workshop dedicated to Wind Resource Assessment. Organized by Vortex in collaboration with YouWind and the Asia Wind Energy Association (AWEA), the event created an opportunity for engineers, consultants, developers and researchers to exchange technical knowledge, discuss methodologies and strengthen regional collaboration.

WindSEA was created to support the growing wind energy community across Southeast Asia by providing a platform for technical discussion and knowledge sharing. Rather than focusing on commercial presentations, the workshop encourages the exchange of practical experience, current methodologies and best practices in wind resource assessment.
The event also offers valuable networking opportunities, bringing together professionals from industry and academia to discuss common challenges and emerging opportunities in the region’s wind energy sector. Throughout the workshop, speakers shared technical presentations covering key aspects of wind resource assessment and site evaluation. The programme encouraged discussion around current industry practices and practical approaches to improving wind data analysis and project development.
Thanks to the collaboration between Vortex, YouWind and the Asia Wind Energy Association, participants had the opportunity to exchange perspectives from different markets across Southeast Asia while strengthening connections within the regional wind energy community.
