India Wind Resource Assessment Seminars 2026 brought together 90 wind energy professionals in Delhi on 6 October and Chennai on 8 October for two afternoons of technical sessions on wind resource assessment, forecasting and climate intelligence. Organized by Vortex, with the participation of guest expert Michael Pram (Global Head Wind Technology at Blue Power Partners), the seminars gave developers, consultants, independent engineers, asset owners and utilities the chance to explore new methodologies, from hybrid and FDRE resource assessment and large-area flow modelling to seasonal forecasting, grid stability and the new India Wind Map.
If you were unable to attend, or would like to revisit the technical sessions, all seminar materials are now available online in a single resource hub.
Throughout both seminars, Vortex specialists and invited industry experts delivered technical presentations covering the full project lifecycle, from high-resolution wind datasets and large-area flow modelling to power and seasonal forecasting for wind and solar assets. The programme also addressed topics of growing relevance to the Indian market, such as resource assessment for hybrid, RTC and FDRE projects, turbulence and Vref beyond traditional IEC indicators, and the challenges intermittent renewables pose for grid stability.
Each session closed with an open Q&A and networking, giving participants in Delhi and Chennai the opportunity to discuss practical challenges with the speakers, compare approaches across different project types and strengthen connections within India’s wind energy community.
The complete collection of materials from the India Wind Resource Assessment Seminars 2026 is now available for anyone interested in revisiting the Delhi and Chennai sessions or discovering their technical content for the first time.
